In mid-August childhood friends Tiffany and Skyler finally were able to celebrate their beautiful day with their loved ones. Gathered in a suite in The Antlers Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, their friends and family cheered and shared cocktails in a pre-ceremony celebration of this wonderful couple’s day. Their Colorado Springs wedding was truly an elegant affair with chic details for their summer celebrations. As so many have experienced over the past year, Tiffany and Skyler waited patiently for their wedding day for more than 2 years as the lasting effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic forced them to reschedule their wedding date.
Last year in the same gorgeous Colorado summer month, they joined us on a private estate in the rolling green hills of Golden, Colorado for an intimate wedding. Wildfires raged all around on the mountains surrounding this private land, but Tiffany and Skyler refused to give up their dream of celebrating in 2020. The weekend after we captured their portraits on this gorgeous landscape, they climbed a mountain together with their parents to share their vows and officially become husband and wife. As their friends surrounded them this summer in Colorado Springs at Phantom Canyon Brewery, they shared so many tears of joy that this day had finally come for them.
Our first stop of the day was at Blush Dry Bar and Salon just south of downtown Colorado Springs to capture Tiffany and her bridal party along with her beloved mother and grandmother as they got ready for the big day. Blush Salons is a chic and lovely spot for brides and their entire bridal party. I loved learning that they also travel on-site for bridal looks. Tiffany and her bridesmaids laughed with ease and enjoyed cocktails and snacks while they were pampered. I loved seeing Tiffany enjoying her day so much. This Colorado Springs wedding was gorgeous because Tiffany and Skyler brought on an excellent vendor team to create their dream day.
The rest of the bridal party and family members gathered in the suite at the Antler’s to celebrate before the ceremony began. This was a new twist on a cocktail hour, and I thought it was an incredible way to celebrate with your bridal party before the day began. Plus it allows the bride and groom a moment to catch their breath in the rush of the day. After Tiffany put her stunning gown on, she and her mom, sister, and grandmother shared a few special moments together. Right before the ceremony they all walked over to Phantom Canyon where their ceremony and reception would be held. Phantom Canyon Brewery was an excellent choice for their Colorado Springs wedding.
This stunning bride’s incredible taste and eye for detail included her selection of a gorgeous Rue De Seine gown from A and Be in Denver. Tiffany truly embodied the modern bohemian bridal look that Rue De Seine is known for, and I loved capturing her dancing in the courtyard of the Antler’s Hotel. Colorado Springs weddings are perfect for couples traveling in from out-of-state that also are dreaming of a local with stunning views, wonderful dining experiences, and unique venues. Colorado’s soulful bohemian vibes and sweeping mountain views are extraordinary in Colorado Springs.
Their ceremony site was decorated with stunning florals that touched on the last summer tones mingled with the hues of early fall. An absolutely perfect balance for their wedding color palette. I was in awe of Tiffany’s stunning and lush bouquet designed with the creative eye of Twigs and Posies Floral Design. Twigs and Posies is a local floral design studio based in Colorado Springs owned by Catherine Leija. She created some of the most stunning arrangements I have ever seen in our Colorado Springs weddings. I love the boutonnieres she designed for the groom and groomsmen. Photographing those adorable beauties alongside Skyler’s bottle of bourbon was one of my favorite detail captures of the day.
Tiffany and Skyler’s ceremony was elegant and simple in honor of their vows shared the previous summer on a mountain top. We all had tears in our eyes knowing how much this couple had endured to reach this moment. With their loved ones and friends by their side, they tied the knot a second time against the stunning backdrop of Colorado Springs. This couple holds a special place in our hearts, and we are so grateful we were able to spend so much time with them both last summer and on their wedding day capturing their love story.
Phantom Canyon Brewery has quickly become one of our favorite spots for indoor ceremony sites and reception spaces. Their food is incredible, and they create an atmosphere that is fun and enjoyable for wedding guests. They have billiards and games on the second floor just below their ceremony and reception space, which is a perfect spot for cocktail hour. We found that the location of Phantom Canyon is perfect for bridal and family portraits to take place on the green lawn of one of the nearby hotels, or even for a quick drive to Garden of the Gods, Rock Ledge Historic Site, or several other outdoor areas for portraits.
As Colorado wedding photographers, we love the gorgeous Colorado Springs wedding venues that are unique to this city. Each year we create an extensive list of vendors in Colorado and Texas that will help you create the wedding day of your dreams, just like Tiffany and Skyler were able to do. We would be honored to capture your love story in one of Colorado’s gorgeous wedding venues, so make sure to contact us today to save your date! One aspect of Tiffany and Skyler’s love story captured by us is their desire to have a more intimate experience through their bridal session. When the world was closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic last summer, we were still able to take the time originally planned for their session to create a memorable and breathtaking portrait session of just the two of them. This experience was a part of how we love to capture our couple’s days, so we highly recommend adding a la carte experiences like engagement bookings, rehearsal dinner coverage, and bridal portraits.
