Wine country in Texas is a place I could settle in for years to come. Rolling green hills and cypress trees that are reminiscent of a mediterranean landscape, I am mesmerized by the beauty of this countryside. I traveled from Colorado to Austin, Texas for an editorial shoot at the resplendent Commodore Perry in the heart of the city in early April. Spring in Texas is quite different than it is here in the Rockies, which reminds me so much of my Tennessee upbringing.
I spent several nights at Camp Lucy for a work-cation full of editing, planning, and quiet. Work-cations are all the rage this year, especially after the limited travels we have had since 2020. Camp Lucy is a perfect respite for the soul and a stunning artistically designed wedding venue in the heart of Texas wine country. Have you ever taken a work-cation? I highly recommend it!
Camp Lucy boasts serene acreage with expansive vistas and a vineyard all its own. With 4 options for a ceremony site, I am in love with the diverse array of offerings for my couples getting married in Texas wine country. There truly is not a venue in all of Texas like Camp Lucy. The beauty of this venue reminds me so much of Piney River Ranch and Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Colorado, yet with a unique Texas twist. Just outside of Dripping Springs and about an hour from Austin, this storybook venue is a sight to behold. I recommend setting up a tour to fully grasp all the options this beautiful spot has to offer. I cannot wait to photograph weddings at Camp Lucy!

On-site lodging found in the form of expansive hotel style rooms and cabins fit for a family, Camp Lucy is a wonderful venue for your wedding weekend. Ian’s Chapel, Sacred Oaks, and the Vineyard are all beautifully designed in picture-perfect form for my couples’ wine country wedding. Tilly’s onsite dining option is one of the best in all of central Texas. I enjoyed their incredible cocktails, and I have heard their food is divine. I must say that I don’t think I have ever seen a more beautiful sunset than the one I experienced just walking the grounds of Camp Lucy.
I would love to photograph your wedding weekend at Camp Lucy, so contact me today to reserve your date. Texas Wine Country is calling!
